The perfect weekend :-D

 

It’s been a great, refreshing and energizing weekend here in Finale Ligure.

The EWS was here after its first in Pietra Ligure. Many may not know – yet – Finale Ligure, nor Pietra, as a matter of fact: small Italian towns some 80 km from the French border. The Wild North West of Italy, with nice sea and a wonderful landscape. These are perfect locations to practice sport, and they are becoming more and more attractive sport tourism destinations. What makes these sport weekends so special is not only the fact that they are happening notwithstanding the COVID health crisis, but also that the integration of different small territories and different sports is growing exponentially. And this is not a given: often a petty competition among hampers potentialities.

This weekend to me meant a lot because I could enjoy a diversified offer in a small span of distance. There was the EWS (https://www.enduroworldseries.com/race/ews-round-3/bluegrass-ews-finale-ligure/202093/) in Finale.

Between Finale and the close-by Noli (which is also a place you don’t want to miss https://www.google.com/search?q=Noli&client=firefox-b-d&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi86fmMro7sAhVyWxUIHcXpBA4Q_AUoAnoECBwQBA&biw=1514&bih=698) formidable athletes competed for the Epicblue. Last but not least, there was a small but cute open water swimming competition in Spotorno, see here https://www.facebook.com/migliosantateresa/. I spent half day there, one of my friends was competing. Welcoming staff, great location, challenging sea and warm sun: a perfect combination.

Moreover, for the first time I used my new outdoor mobile to eternalize my friend and her fellow contestants as they braved the wavy sea. Not bad for my waterproof BV5500Plus Blackview. It’s such a release to enter the sea with your mobile as it is really portable, if you practice outdoor sports. Or your friend do, while you enjoy an aperitivo ;-)
